A free festival will be held Saturday, August 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the Concordia University, Wisconsin, campus. Concordia University is located in Mequon, Wisconsin at 12800 North Lake Shore Drive. August 9th gives you a great opportunity to enjoy the campus and see the lake from the restored Concordia bluff.
A variety of family-friendly activities are planned including a 5K evening run, live music, supplies to build and fly kites, guided tours of the restored bluff at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., a plein air (open air) art contest, and a parade of boats (weather permitting). Food will be available from Chuck’s Place Family Restaurant, Thiensville.
Check-in for the evening 5K run is between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The race starts at 6:00 p.m. with a route that will take runners through the campus, along the beachfront, and up the restored bluff.
